Emergency units respond to a bathroom fire
Frederick, MD 12/17/2018 (RD) Frederick County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched at around 10:31 am to a residential cottage located in Homewood at Crumland Retirement Community in northern Frederick City. First units arrived on scene to find fire in the bathroom ceiling. It took 35 personnel approximately 10 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries. The fire was caused by a bathroom exhaust fan and damage was estimated to be around $3,000. A single occupant was temporarily displaced and is being relocated.
