Three Arrests Made; Drugs, Guns Confiscated In HIDTA Operations

Search warrants were served in Frederick & Washington Counties.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Three people were arrested, and drugs, cash and guns were confiscated following two High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area operations on Wednesday in Frederick and Washington Counties.

Authorities say the Washington County SWAT team entered a residence in the 500 block of Lynnehaven Drive in Hagerstown. Following that,  the Frederick HIDTA team and members of the Washington County Narcotics Task Force conducted their investigation. They arrested Eric Arnette Smith, 47, and Kevia Cherisse Spivey, 43 both of Hagerstown. They’re charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute a large amount of cocaine.

Officers confiscated 702 grams of cocaine, 107 grams of crack cocaine , $920 in cash and a digital scale.

A second search warrant was served in the 200 block of Thames Drive in Frederick, where Allen Lionell  Frazier, 51, was taken into custody. He’s charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of cocaine, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of a regulated firearm, and possession of a regulated firearm after a conviction of a crime of violence.

Authorities say crack cocaine, marijuana, two handguns and three rifles were confiscated from that home.

This operation follows a three-month investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating in Frederick and Washington Counties. It was initiated by narcotics detectives with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Washington County Narcotics Task Force.

Members of HIDTA, or High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area, consist  of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, Frederick Police Department, Maryland State Police, Brunswick Police Department, Department of Homeland Security Investigations and the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office.
