Documentary To Air On How Eggnog Is Made

It will be broadcast  on Christmas Day on MPT.

 

Owings Mills, Md (KM) As you’re sipping your eggnog during  the Holiday season, did you ever wonder how it’s processed. You can learn how on Christmas Day by watching “Maryland Farm and Harvest” on Maryland Public Television. “We call it ‘Milk to Eggnog,’  and basically we follow the process of making eggnog,” says Sarah Sampson, the producer and director of “Maryland Farm and Harvest.”

She says the program describes how eggnog is produced locally by Dairy Maid Dairy in Frederick. She says segment follows the milk which is produced at  Maple Dell Farm in Woodbine in Howard County, and shipped to Dairy Maid Dairy.  .

“We shot this last season,” says Sampson. “They {Dairy Maid Dairy} made 80,000 gallons of eggnog there last year.”

The segment entitled “Milk to Eggnog” will be seen on MPT on Tuesday, December 25th at 7:00 PM. It will be rebroadcast on Thursday at 11:30 PM, and the following Sunday at 6:00 AM.
