Frederick Man Arrested For Breaking Into Vehicles

He’s also charged with assaulting a police officer.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man faces numerous charges. Ladell Cortez Henson,25, was taken into custody Thursday night by Frederick Police.

At about 8:10 PM, officers were dispatched to the area of Heathfield Drive for a man looking into vehicle windows, pulling door handles and entering vehicles. Police say they located Henson who had some items in his possession which didn’t belong to him.

As he was being placed under arrest, authorities say Henson become disorderly and combative, and assaulted an officer. When he was being placed in the back of a police cruiser, Henson kicked out the interior of a patrol car, breaking a panel. He was taken to the Adult Detention Center.

Henson has been charged with 2nd-degree assault on a police officer, destruction of property (motor vehicle), disorderly conduct, and being a rogue and a vagabond.

In a statement, Frederick Police say they would like to thank the resident who called police after seeing some suspicious activity. They also urge residents to lock their vehicles, and remove any valuables.
