Hampstead,Md (KM) The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has changed a man from Bel Air with two counts of manslaughter. Todd Michael Dauses,49, was taken into custody this week.

Detectives say Dauses was at a party in the 2700 block of Coon Club Road in Hampstead on Saturday, December 22nd, where 43-year-old Raymond Banz was a guest. Authorities say Banz became intoxicated and was told to leave. He refused and got into a fight when another guest tried to remove him.

Banz eventually left, returning to his home in the 15000 block of Dover Road in Reistertown. The next evening at 9:00, Banz was found deceased in his home.

His body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy, where it was determined on December 24th, 2018 that the cause of death was internal injuries.

Dauses is charged with two counts of manslaughter and reckless endangerment.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who has information on this case is asked to contact Detective Harbaugh at 410-386-5900.
