Police Charge Three With Armed Robbery

They were apprehended Saturday night.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Three suspects have been charged in connection with an armed robbery Saturday night in Frederick. Michael Wayne Keegan, Jr., 33, of Frederick, Georgia Mae Poole, 22, of Walkersville, and Derek Armand Coates, 26, of Brunswick, were taken into custody. Frederick Police say the three are charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, 2nd-degree assault and theft under $1500. .

Officers responded to the 1000 block of West Patrick Street, where they made contact with the victim who was in the parking lot of a gas station. . He said he had been robbed at knifepoint. In addition, the victim said one of the suspects threatened him with a wooden object similar to a baseball bat.

Investigators collected evidence at the scene which identified Keegan, Poole and Coates as the suspect, along with a description of their vehicle. The information was broadcast to other law enforcement agencies.

Shortly afterward, the Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle at a gas station in the 5,000 block Urbana Pike in Frederick. Keegan, Poole and Coates were arrested and charged.
