It will close again in the spring when paving work begins.
Frederick, Md (KM) Monument Road between Mount Tabor Road and Blacks Glen Court will be open temporarily during the winter.
The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering says due to the cold weather, paving work will be done in the spring, when the temperatures are more favorable.
Officials say the public will be notified when this stretch of Monument Road is closed for three weeks to complete the paving project.
