The Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a fatal overdose at a hotel/motel in Frederick County in September, 2018 . Detectives with the Narcotics Investigation Section began looking into the circumstances surrounding the overdose. An autopsy on the victim revealed the cause of death as fentanyl and alcohol intoxication. Davidson was developed as a the person who sold the fentanyl to the victim. . .
In consultation with the State’s Attorney’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office says Davidson was indicted on distribution of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl mix, and possession of fentanyl. Authorities served Davidson with an outstanding arrest warrant related to the indictment.
In a statement, the Sheriff’s Office says its Narcotics Investigation Section and its High Intensity Drug Trafficking area partners are committed to combating the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics in Frederick County.
