PSC Cancels Potomac Edison Rate Increase Hearing

The Commission cites snow in the forecast.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Due to  snow in the forecast, the Maryland Public Service Commission has canceled the public hearing scheduled for this evening   at Winchester Hall in Frederick on Potomac Edison’s application for an increase in retail rates. The PSC cites the potential for hazardous travel conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Frederick and surrounding counties beginning at 4:00 PM on Thursday, and ended at 4:00 AM on Friday. There is a potential for one to two inches of snow, meteorologists say.

The Commission also says the period to provide written comments regarding Potomac Edison’s rate increase has been extended to January 29th. Those who want to submit written comments can send them to Terry J.
