Crash Involving Several Vehicles Closes Eastbound I-70 On Friday

Six  people to taken to the hospital.

 

 

Hagerstown, Md (KM) A multi-vehicle crash closed Interstate 70 eastbound in the Hagerstown area on Friday.,

State Police say the traffic near Routes 65 and 632 had slowed or stopped due to construction workers up ahead doing pothole repair work. An empty passenger bus didn’t stop, and struck several vehicles. injuring a total of eight
people They’re identified as:

1) Sean Pease St. Paul MN 50 years old taken to Meritus

2) Joshua Kerns, Martinsburg, WV, 18 year old taken to MD Shock Trauma by Trooper 3

3) Joseph Jerome Dieumegarde, Baltimore MD, 47 year old taken to Meritus

Passenger: Joseph Dantoni 3rd, Baltimore MD, 27 year old taken to Meritus

4) Caroly Davis, Cumberland, MD, 72 year old taken to Meritus

5) Willie Keys 3rd, Nashiville, TN, 29 year old taken to Meritus

6) Gthomas Saltmer, Lumberton, NJ, 61 year old not transported

7) Danielle Mariotti, Clear Spring MD, 21 year old taken to Meritus

8) Karl Shepley 2nd, Brooklyn MD, 27 year old not transported.

The vehicles involved in the crash were:

1) 2018 NEW FLYER, CNG Transit XN40

2) 2013 Honda Accord

3) 2016 Chevy Express Van

4) 2015 Nissan Rogue

5) 2019 Ford Fusion

6) 2019 Kenworth Truck

7) 2011 Huyndai Elantra

8) 2014 Hino Box truck

 

All lanes of I-70 in that area were reopened at four p-m.
