The individual was arrested for burglary and theft
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office used GPS technology to help identify a suspect in a burglary and theft at the FSK Mall.
It all started on October 15th, 2018 when deputies were dispatched to the mall at 2:00 AM, and learned that a safe had been stolen from the T-Mobile kiosk. About $26,000 worth of cell phones and Apple Watches were taken.
Using GPS, investigators say they were able to track the safe to Prince George’s County and Washington DC. The safe was found, but it was empty and destroyed.
Detectives applied for and received search warrants for the cell phone data on the suspects, and found one of the individuals activated a stolen Apple Watch. Cell phone records indicated that thjis pohne was in the area of the burglary at the FSK Mall, according to authorities.
A search warrant was served in District Heights in P.G. County on January 7th, 2019 by Frederick County Sheriff’s Office detectives, where additional evidence was found.
The Sheriff’s Office says charges of 2nd-degree burglary, theft between $25,000 and $100,000 and destruction of property were filed against Charles Brian Hebb, 37, of Washington DC.
Hebb was arrested in PG County on January 23rd on a warrant from Frederick County.
