Frederick City Presidents Day Observance: Service Changes

City offices closed on Monday, February 18th, 2019.


FREDERICK, MD – Feb. 13, 2019: The City of Frederick offices will be closed to observe Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, and some service schedules will change:

Parking
On Feb. 18, City parking meters and garages will be free for parking.

Recreation/Fitness Center
The William Talley Fitness Center will be open as usual.

Trash Collection
Residential:
 There will be no trash collection service on Monday, Feb. 18.
 If you normally set out your household trash and yard waste on Sunday evening for
Monday collection, please set your trash out on Monday evening for Tuesday collection.
 Do not set yard waste out for collection.
 All other trash routes are as scheduled.

Business District:
 Commercial Downtown Business trash will be collected on the normal schedule.

Yard Waste Collection
Residential:
 There will be no yard waste collection for Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) 6 and
7 on Monday, Feb. 18. NAC 6 and 7 yard waste collection will resume regular schedule
on Monday, Feb. 25.

Recycling
Commercial Business Recycling Service (not residential): Recycling will not be
collected on Monday, Feb. 18. It will return to the normal schedule on Wednesday, Feb. 20th.

Community Services
The Frederick Community Action Agency Soup Kitchen and Day Shelter will be open.
