NJ Man Arrested In Frederick County For Drug, Firearms Charges

He was apprehended following a traffic stop.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) A man from New Jersey was arrested in Frederick County on Thursday for drug and weapon offenses.

State Police say David John Compton, 30, from Cherry Hill, was pulled over along westbound Interstate 70 near Frederick for a traffic violation. Troopers say Compton was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, marijuana and related paraphernalia. Authorities say Compton is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to past felony convictions.

Compton was transported to Central Booking for processing. He’s charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of ammunition, having a handgun in a vehicle and having a loaded handgun in a vehicle.
