Fire Marshal’s Office says the cause was accidental.

Westminster, Md (KM) Three people were displaced following a building fire early Wednesday  morning in Carroll County.

At around 4:51 AM, fire fighters from the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the 2824 LIttlestown Pike in Westminster for a fire at a wood frame commercial building with two apartments. It took them a half-hour to bring the flames under control. No one was injured.

Investigators say the fire originated in the living room of a second floor apartment, and was accidental due to an electrical event in the floor assembly.
