High Winds Causes Tree To Fall Into House

Wind gusts over 50 mph in region

Frederick, Md. (DG) – High winds have caused numerous power outages in the area along with trees and wires coming down.

A tree on Military Rd in Frederick fell onto a house on Sunday.

The region is under a high wind warning until 5 PM on February 25, 2019.

Today we can experience wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph with some gusts around 60 mph. Elevations above 3000 feet along the Blue Ridge Mountains could receive wind gusts up to 75 mph.

Under these conditions damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
