Fire Burns Vacant Farm House

The cause is under investigation.

 

Sykesville, Md (KM) The cause of a one-alarm,  building fire in Sykesville early Thursday morning remains under investigation.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office says at around 3:45 AM, 30 fire fighters were dispatched to the 5900 block of Slacks Road for a vacant, one-story, former farmhouse on fire. It took them one hour to bring the flames under control. There were no injuries.

Fire marshals say there is no loss value on the home because it was vacant at the time of the blaze.
