30 families are needed to house these young men.
FREDERICK, MD. (LG) The Frederick Keys are looking for families to open up their homes so team players will have a place to stay. “The Keys Host Family Program is a group of families that house players during the baseball season, that runs from April 1st through the first week of September,” said Jim Addington, KHFP volunteer. “The program has been in existence since the Keys started here in Frederick, I think about 26 years now,” he continued.
“A program, like the Keys Host Family Program, is important because the players do not have the means financially, but also the ability to lease in Frederick during the season,” said Amanda Addington, KHFP volunteer. “All you need is to have a bed and a bathroom to qualify.”
Thirty families are needed. If you are interested and able to open up your home to one or two of these young men pursuing their Major League Baseball dream, please call or email Jim or Amanda Addington:
