Bus Crash on Route 15

No serious injuries reported.

According to Maryland State Police, the bus struck a car and a propane truck. Troopers said the car’s driver was at fault in the crash.

The driver had slowed down abruptly to make a turn and the bus driver attempted to stop but hit the car and the truck. The bus then ended up in a ditch along the southbound side of the road.

Responders had a problem getting passengers off the bus due to damage to the front end of the bus. Rescuers had to remove the door of the bus to evacuate the occupants. All individuals were evaluated at the scene by EMS personnel.

There were no serious injuries, but the bus driver and two students were taken by ambulance to Gettysburg Hospital for further evaluation.
