Police Searching For Shooting Suspect

He is charged with shooting an individual outside of a business in February.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are continuing their search for a suspect in a shooting in February.

Detective Matt Irons with the agency has applied for criminal charges against Gregory Lyte, 33, of Martinsburg, West Virginia. He’s charged with 2nd-degree assault, and 1st-degree assault with a gun.

Investigators say during the early morning hours of February 24th of this year, an argument began between two groups inside of an establishment in the 100 block of North Market Street. The two groups left the establishment. A fight took place outside and one person fired a gun, injuring another individual. Authorities have identified the shooter as Lyte.

Frederick Police have contacted neighboring law enforcement agencies, asking for assistance in locating Lyte, and serving the warrant.
