Shooting Under Investigation

One man was shot last Friday in Frederick.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting last Friday in the Hillcrest area.

At around 3:00 PM, officers and detectives responded to Frederick Memorial Hospital for a man with a gunshot wound who was undergoing an evaluation. He was shot once in the upper right thigh. Authorities say his injuries do not appear to be life threatening. That person was interviewed as well as a few potential witnesses. They told police that the incident occurred in the 200 block of Appleton Place.

Authorities went to the scene to collect evidence and speak with witnesses, .who told detectives and officers they heard gunshots, but no one called police. Investigators determined that two possible suspects fled on foot after the shooting.
