Critical weather conditions are forecast
Frederick County, MD – (RD) A total ban on outdoor burning has been put issued in our area, until further notice. The Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office said that all outdoor burning, including recreational fires, is prohibited. The US Forest Service classified the forest fire danger as VERY HIGH for Wednesday.
The National Weather Service issued a “Red Flag Warning” today. A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. The combination of lowering fuel moisture, low relative humidity and gusty winds can contribute to the enhanced spread of fires.
