The victim was held against her will for two days.
THURMONT, MD. (LG) An Emmitsburg man has been arrested and is facing several charges after he allegedly assaulted his wife. According to investigators, a female victim went to the Thurmont Police station on April 4, 2019, to report that she had been assaulted by her husband, 53 year old Mark Devi Salatto.
The victim told police that Salatto held her against her will, in her residence for two days, assaulting her and continuously threatening her, according to a press release. Police said physical signs of the assault could be seen on the victim.
Salatto was taken into custody and is charged with two counts of second degree assault and false imprisonment. He is currently being held without bond.
