Two Teens Arrested In Shots-Fired Incident

They’re being charged as adults.

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office has charged two teenagers as adults for a shots-fired incident. Marquis Desade Scottland of Hagerstown, and William James Sewell II of Frederick are charged with 1st–degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, reckless endangerment, being a minor in possession of a firearm and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. . Both are 16-years old.

On Wednesday afternoon at around 4:15, deputies responded to the area of Magnolia Court and Burning Bush Drive just outside of Frederick city for a “shots-fired” complaint. They found a shell casing in the parking lot in the 5700 block of Trailview Court in Mountain Village. Detectives were able to review surveillance video where three shots could be heard. The video also showed a white Ford Mustang and a silver Chevy Malibu were involved.

The Sheriff’s Office says four males were seen walking from the vehicles toward six other males in the area of the 5700 block of Trailview Court. Two  of the four, identified as Scottland and Sewell, were seen with guns, investigators say.;

On the video, detectives say three shots were heard, with the two suspects running from the scene.

Further investigation led authorities to Scottland and Sewell as suspects. They were placed under arrest and transported to the Adult Detention Center.
