Dogs Found In Squalid Conditions In Hampstead Home ‘doing well,’ Per Carroll Co. Sheriff’s Office

The Humane Society is accepting donations to help with the dogs care.



Westminster, Md (KM) The 27 dogs found in squalid conditions last week at a home in Carroll County are receiving the care they need and are doing well. That’s according to the Sheriff’s Office, which says 20 Dalmatians, five Golden Retrievers and two English Setters were rescued from the home in the 4300 block of Black Rock Road in Hampstead on Friday.  11 dogs were found dead inside the house.

The Sheriff’s Office has charged John J. Roberts, 49, and Laura S. Filler, 55, with 51 charges, including animal cruelty, aggravated cruelty and other offenses. The two are from Westminster.
