Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Investigates Single Vehicle Collision

It happened Thursday morning in the 4600 block of Gross Mill Road.

CARROLL COUNTY, MD.  (LG)    The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a single motor vehicle accident that left one person injured. It happened Thursday, April 18, 2019, at approximately 9:30 a.m., in the 4600 block of Gross Mill Road, in Hampstead.

Investigators said a gray colored 2008 Ford Escape, for unknown reasons, left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver, a 17 year old juvenile, of Manchester, was trapped in the car and had to be extricated. He was taken to Shock Trauma, in Baltimore, where he is listed in critical condition.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have information regarding this accident, to call the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office at 410-386-3900 and ask for Cpl. Vanik, with the Crash Reconstruction Unit.
