Flood Warning Issued For Monocacy River

Flood warning in effect until this evening

Frederick, Md. – The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Monocacy River near Frederick.

The warning is in effect until 6 p.m. on May 6, 2019.

Flood stage is 15.0 feet, and as of 3 a.m. the river stage was at 16.6 feet.

Much of Pinecliff Park and Rivermist Park are flooded. Buckeystown Community Park is also flooded with water approaching the parking lot.

Flood water is also approaching the Frederick City Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Ballenger Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant.
