Riley Crossman has not been seen since last week.
Berkeley Heights, WV (KM). A large, coordinated search is planned for Wednesday in Morgan County, WV for a missing teenager. Riley Crossman, 15, of Berkeley Heights, was last seen by her parents on Tuesday, May 7th at her home. She was reported missing after failing to show up for school, according to Sheriff’ K.C. Bohrer. “We’re investigating all possibilities,” he says. “We don’t have any belief at this time that she ran away.”
Riley is 5’6″ tall, 120 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black leggings.
Her father, Lance Crossman, is pleading for anyone who knows of Riley Whereabouts to come forward and tell police. “The police are working very hard,” he said, through tears. “We really want her to home come. So please hear the story.”
The search will be taking place on Wednesday. Anyone who wants to participate should report by 9:00 AM to an area near the Office of Emergency Services in the Old War Memorial parking lot. You’re urged to wear appropriate clothes, and bring along water and other items you may need from home.
Sheriff Bohrer says his agency will be searching in a number of places for Riley. “In situations like this, you want to search areas such as waterways, lakes, known dumping spots, things of that nature,” he says.
The Sheriff says some helpful tips have been received. Anyone who has information they feel could help locate Riley is asked to call the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department at 304-258-1067.
