Man Charged With Assault After Petting A Dog Which Bit Him

He used a knife to threaten the dog’s owner.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Charges of 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, making a false statement to a police officer and disorderly conduct have been filed against a Dickerson man. Roy Davidson, 67, was arrested in Frederick on Wednesday of last week.

Police say a woman putĀ  walking her dogs Wednesday night along West All Saints Street and South Market Street was approached by Davidson, who asked if he could pet one of the animals. The victim declined, but Davidson pet one of the dogs anyway. One of the animals bit Davidson.

He pulled out a pocket knife and threatened harm to the victim and her dogs. She ran to a secure area where she called police.

The victim gave an accurate description of Davidson, who was quickly located and taken into custody. He transported him to the Adult Detention Center.
