Boil Water Advisory In Parts Of Brunswick

Public works crews repaired a broken water main.

Brunswick, Md (KM) There’s a boil water advisory in the city of Brunswick.

Public Works officials say crews were dispatched at around 10:15 PM on Monday to a water leak on Tritapoe Drive near the intersection with Addition Avenue. They worked until 3:20 AM on Tuesday repairing the 10-inch water main break.

Water service was restored, but about 500 customers on Central Avenue and areas in the west have been told to boil their water before using it. That includes the Brunswick water customers in Knoxville and southern Washington County.

City officials say the boil water advisory could remain in affect until Thursday, or it could be lifted much sooner..

The Maryland Department of the Environment, and the Health Departments in Frederick and Washington Counties, and the Frederick County Board of Education have all be notified.
