That person was driving a truck which went over an embankment.
Mount Airy, Md. (KM) State Police continue to investigate a fatal one-vehicle crash in Mount Airy on Wednesday morning.
Troopers say at around 11:30 AM, a GMC truck traveling northbound on Route 27 near Interstate 70 ran off the roadway, and then went 40-feet down an embankment. The driver is believed to the only occupant of the truck, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of late Wednesday night, State Police are withholding his name pending notification of next of kin.
