New Addiction Conseling Center Focused on Women’s Health Opening in Frederick

A new substance abuse treatment center is opening to combat the opioid epidemic in Frederick.

Sabillisville, MD. (TY) – The opioid crisis is one of the biggest epidemics facing the nation, but a new center opening in Frederick hopes to combat the growing health crisis.

Kelsea Kephart is the co-founder of the Orenda Center of Wellness, a mental health and substance abuse treatment center.

“We will provide inpatient treatment for women and then will also have outpatient substance abuse and mental health services for men, women and adolescents,” Kephart said.

The opioid epidemic affects thousands of lives every year, including some of Kephart’s own friends and family. She lost her cousin, best friend, and other friends from high school to opioid overdoses.

“it can definitely happen to anybody,” Kephart said. “it doesn’t discriminate at all.”

The inpatient center will be located on 17645 Harbough Valley Road in Sabillisville, Maryland and the outpatient facility will be on 600 West Patrick Street in Frederick. The center will be hosting an open house at it’s inpatient center on Jun 15th from 11a.m. to 3p.m . The open house will host tours, presentations and a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the center.
