Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have charged a Harpers Ferry,WV man with assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to obey the lawful order of a police officer, interfering with an arrest and littering. John Arthur Comeau,28, was arrested Monday afternoon near the C. Burr Artz Library.
Authorities say an officer responded to the unit block of South Market Street just before 4:45 PM to investigate reports of a fight. Upon arrival, Officer Hannah Clinton saw Comeau assaulting another man. He fled toward the Carroll Creek Linear Park, but was apprehended near the library.
Police say as officers tried to take him into custody, Comeau resisted, and began screaming obscenities, causing a disturbance.
He was taken to the Adult Detention Center for processing.
