Causes $42,000 in damage
Cascade, Md. (DG) – Fire destroyed a vacant home in Washington County early Sunday morning.
Firefighters responded to the 25,000 block of Cascade Road in Cascade and found a two-story woodframe home on fire.
The blaze went to one alarm and thirty-five firefighters battled the flames for 90 minutes.
The fire was discovered by a family member living nearby.
The fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire. Damage is estimated at $42,000.
