Damage could top $1-million.
Frederick, Md (KM) A fire that destroyed seven town houses along Carrollton Drive in Frederick on Friday, June 7th has been ruled accidental. The County Fire Marshal’s Office says the it was caused by an electrical failure in a false roof on the face of the building and the second floor wall in the corner town house.
Officials say fire fighters were dispatched just before 9:00 AM, and the fire quickly went to three alarms.
The fire displaced 12 adults and five children.
A number of insurance adjusters are working to determine a total property loss for their clients, but fire officials say preliminary estimates put the loss in excess of one-million dollars. .
