Frederick, Md (KM) A day after the Frederick County Council unanimously  approved two new anti-discrimination bills, County Executive Jan Gardner signed them into law. In a tweet posted on the County’s website on Wednesday, Gardner said she was “honored” to put her signature on the two bills.

The measures outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity when it comes to employment, housing and public accommodations. Gardner said all people deserved to be treated with dignity and respect.
