The 11th annual Stuff the Bus charity drive kicks off next month with over 50 businesses and helping collect school supplies for students in need.
Frederick, MD – Local businesses and charity organizations are getting ready to kick off a charity drive students across Frederick County.
Stuff the Bus is an annual school-supply drive dedicated to providing school supplies like backpacks and notebooks to FCPS students in need. The drive runs July 8th-August 14th with donations being accepted at over 50 locations across Frederick.
“Approximately 15 buses placed throughout the county and about 100 businesses will be collecting supplies,” FCPS Task Pamela Miller said. “It’s very exciting.”
Over 7,500 students were helped last year with more than 85,000 school items donated. More than 100 volunteers helped pick up donations and load buses.
“it’s an exciting project, it touches so many people here in Frederick County,” Miller said. “It’s a fun way to and kick off the school year.”
