One Dead, One Injured In Double Shooting In Frederick

Police say both victims were found inside a vehicle in a parking lot.

 

Frederick, Md (KM). One person is dead, and another injured following a double shooting in Frederick Thursday night.

Police spokeswoman Michele Bowman says officers responded to the Sunset Apartments in the 1000 block of Columbine Drive at around 9:39 PM to investigate reports of shots fired. “Officers responded to the area and located a male and a female in a vehicle. The male was deceased, and the female suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local trauma center where she is currently listed in stable but serious condition,” says Bowman.

The deceased male is identified as Robert Allen Bair Knight, 30, of Frederick. Police are not releasing the name of the female, but she’s described as a 27-year-old woman.

Bowman says the incident remains under investigation, and anyone who has information on this double shooting is asked to contact Frederick Police. They can remain anonymous.
