Frederick, Md (KM). The National Weather Service in Sterling, Virginia, has extended the Flash Flood Warning in eastern Frederick County until 3:45 PM.
The agency says law enforcement officers have been reporting flooding with several roads closed. Larger streams may continue to rise which could mean additional flooding.
The areas affected by the high water include Mount Airy, Woodsboro, New Midway, Unionville, Libertytown, Green Valley, Union Bridge, Westminster, Eldersburg, Sykesville, Gamber, Finksburg and other communities.
