State Police are continuing their investigation.
An Ijamsville man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Howard County Friday afternoon.
At around 4:30 PM, Maryland State Police in Waterloo responded to Interstate 70 near Route 40. Troopers say a Toyota Camry operated by Tyer Michael Gergle, 18, was traveling eastbound on I-70. His Toyota Camry left the roadway, and struck the guardrail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe Gergle was en route to New Jersey to visit family.
