Lightning Strikes Home In Carroll County Wednesday Night

No one was hurt.

Mt. Airy, Md (KM) A house in the Mount Airy area sustained some damage after it was struck by lightning Wednesday night.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says fire fighters responded to a home in the 3235 Liberty Road just before 11:00 PM. . They spent five-minutes putting out the flames. No one was injured.

Investigators say the fire originated within the interior wall space of the basement. Damage is estimated at $500. .
