WalMart Supercenter In Sykesville Robbed At Gunpoint

No one was hurt.

 

 

Sykesville, Md. (KM) The WalMart Supercenter in Sykesville was robbed on Friday morning.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office says at around 7:08 AM, deputies were dispatched to the store at 6400 Ridge Road. They were told a man entered the store, walked up to the register, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The employees complied and the suspect left the store. He may have gotten away in a dark colored Chevy Impala sedan, authorities say. .

The suspect is described as an African-American male, estimated to be in his late 40’s , about 5’5″ with a thin build. He had a graying beard with no mustache, and was wearing a dark blue automotive mechanic’s suit, dark blue baseball cap with sunglasses.

Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene, and continue to investigate.
