Frederick Organization to Award Grants to Agriculture Education for Youth Programs

Five grants up to $1,000

Frederick, MD – Grant applications are now open for educational programs designed to teach youth about agriculture.

The grants were announced by the Frederick County Office of Economic Development in partnership with the Agriculture Business Council.

OED agriculture business development specialist Katie Stevens said they are looking for creative projects from non-profits to create a long-term impact.

“More people are farther removed from the farm now more than ever,” Stevens said. “It’s really important now for the farm community and organizations like ourselves to support education.”

Five grants will be awarded up to $1,000 each. The deadline for applications is August 26 and application information can be found at HomegrownFrederick.com
