TransIT Offices To Close On August 31st For Construction

Tickets will be sold in other locations.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) TransIt Services of Frederick County says it’s main office at 1040 Rocky Springs Road will be closed to the public beginning on August 31st. The agency says construction will be taking place, and building activity will make it unsafe for visitors.

Tickets will no longer be sold at the main office while construction is underway. Riders can buy them at the County Treasurer’s Office at 30 North Market Street from 8:00  AM to 4:00 PM. They can also purchase TransIT-plus tickets, Connector,  10 Trip Tickets,  21 Trip Reduced Fare Tickets at the Frederick County Senior Services Division at 1440 Taney Avenue, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Tickets can also be purchased through TransiT’s mobile ticketing app, Token TransIT. All types of tickets  can be purchased over the phone using a credit card, or by mail using a ticket order form.

Customers who need to register for TransIT-plus or have their pictures taken for the Taxi Access Program need to call a TransIT staff member at the C. Burt Artz Library at 110 East Patrick Street. The number is 301-600-2065. Applications  for TAP ID photos can be submitted to [email protected]. Driver’s licenses and other photo I.D.’s are needed for a TAP ID.
