Motorcycle Accident Turns Deadly In Frederick

Police believe reckless operation was a contributing factor in the accident.


Frederick, Md. (DG) – A Montgomery County man was killed in an accident Saturday afternoon in Frederick after two motorcycles collided.

Maryland State Police are reporting the two motorcycles lost control on 270-northbound near Doctor Perry at around 1:45 PM.

25-year-old Dan Stanback from Gaithersburg was on a Suzuki motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the Kawasaki motorcycle was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment.

All lanes of 270 northbound were closed for 3 1/2 hours while police investigated the scene.

Police believe reckless operation was a contributing factor in the accident.
