Traffic Signal To Be Installed Thurs. At Monocacy Blvd., Riverbend Way

Monocacy Blvd will remain open to traffic, but there could be delays.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Motorists who regularly travel Monocacy Boulevard near Riverbend Way can expect some traffic congestion on Thursday. The Frederick City Department of Public Works says it will be installing a left hand turn signal at that intersection between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, weather permitting. .

Police officers will be directing traffic in that area.

City officials say Monocacy Boulevard will remain open, but motorists will not be able to get into the Shops at Monocacy (where a Giant Food store is located) from that roadway.. They’re encouraged to use Laurel Wood Way, or take Route 26 on to Kingfisher Drive.

The Public Works Department says a left turn lane will be constructed in that area over the next four to six weeks.
