The shootings do not appear to be random.
Frederick, MD 9/31/2019 (RD) At about 1:35 AM Saturday morning, the Frederick City Police Department received reports of gunshots fired in the area of the 600 block of North Market Street. Officers arriving in the area located an adult, female victim with a gunshot wound. Medical personnel transported her to the hospital for treatment.
Officers learned that three other gunshot victims, two adult males and another adult female, arrived at the hospital by private transportation or other means. At this time, all of the victims appear to be in stable condition.
According to early reports, this incident does not appear to be random, but appears to have stemmed from a dispute. Officers from the Patrol Division and detectives in the Criminal Investigations Section are continuing to investigate.
