Suspect Arrested For Robbing Liquor Store

Police found bottles of merchandise at his home when taking him into custody.

 

 

Thurmont, Md (KM) Thurmont Police arrested a suspect in connection with the burglary of a local store. William T. Carbaugh, 40, of Thurmont is charged with destruction of property, theft less than $1500 and two counts of breaking and entering.

On Monday morning, police say they received word of a burglary at Thurmont Liquors on Tippin Drive. Officers say the front glass door of the establishment was shattered. A cinder block was found inside, and some merchandise was missing.

A photo of the suspect was provided by the owner, and a citizen was able to identify that individual as Carbaugh

Police arrested him at his home on West Main Street, where numerous bottles of merchandise were recovered.

Carbaugh was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
