Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner and County Council President MC Keegan-Ayer hosted the ceremony.
Frederick, MD – After 4 years of deliberations and amendments, the Livable Frederick Resolution was signed on Tuesday evening.
A ceremony was hosted by Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner and County Council President MC Keegan-Ayer to commemorate the signing at Winchester Hall on E. Church Street.
Gardner said a significant portion of the work was done by thanks to the resolution’s committee.
“They surveyed literally thousands of people and they compiled 15,000 comments from the public,” Gardner said. “And they went through all of them.”
Gardner said the resolution will move forward, and they still intend to keep the community engaged.
“The hard work is not over,” Gardner said. “Now we go to the implementation plan.”
