Halfway, Md (KM) A fire at a two-story home in Haflway Monday night did an estimated $135,000 damage to the structure, and $50,000 to the contents.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says 37 fire fighters responded shortly before 11:00 PM to 11,133 Glenside Avenue, and spent more than an hour bringing the flames under control.
No one was injured, but all occupants were displaced. Four animals died in the fire.
Investigators say the fire originated in the basement ceiling under the living room, but the cause has not been determined.
