Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man has been charged in connection with several residential burglaries. Charles Edward Budd, 54, was taken into custody on Thursday, and served with multiple warrants charging him with breaking into homes on North Market Street, Fairview Avenue and Wilson Place.
Authorities say Budd is charged with 1st-degree burglary, 4th degree theft and theft from $100 to $1500 for breaking into a home in the 1200 block of North Market Street on or about September 25th. He’s also charged with attempted burglary for trying to get into a home in the 800 block of Fairview Avenue on or aboutĀ September 16th. Along with that, Budd is charged with 1st-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglar, 4th-degree theft and theft between $100 and $150 for breaking into a home in the 400 block of Wilson Place on or about September 29th. . Finally, Budd is charged with 1st-degree burglary, 4th-degree burglary, 4th-degree theft, malicious destruction of property under $1,000 and theft between $100 and $1500 for a break-in at a home in the 600 block of Fairview Avenue on or about September 20th.
Police say Budd was identified as a suspect in the break-in of a home in the 12-hundred block of North Market Street, and an arrest warrant was issued on September 27th. . But a detective investigating several open burglariesĀ identified Budd as the suspect. in those cases.
Budd, whose also known as Charles Edward Cooper, was arrested by the Street Crimes Division on West 4th Street, and charged with burglary offenses. Authorities also say crack cocaine and related paraphernalia were found on Budd’s person.
